Repurposing Content

Repurposing Content:  What is it? What does it mean? What does it look like?

Quite simply, repurposing content means taking existing pieces of YOUR work – like videos, social media captions, blogs, a book or course materials – and reworking them into new pieces of content to inspire, entertain or support your audience.

For example, perhaps you have blogs on your website from 3-4 years ago that are brilliant but not getting huge amounts of traffic. If the content of these blogs are universal, relevant themes that you still talk about in your business today, then you’re leaving money on the table by not tapping into this potential.

The magic happens when you pull this blog apart, add some current thoughts, images and quotes/testimonials to it and re-write and share it as a new blog with a new title.

Or, perhaps it might work well as a free download to attract people to sign up for your email list.

Or, maybe it could be separated into a series of Instagram posts or reels, or it might prompt you to talk about the subject again on your podcast, live video or YouTube video.

There are literally sooooo many possibilities!

The main thing to remember is that you don’t always have to create NEW content with new thoughts and ideas every time! You’ll burn yourself out trying to create in this way every day.

Now, while you might understand the concept and appreciate the impact repurposing content could have on your business, it’s not always easy to see where the magic is sitting in your existing content!
